When making desserts involving chocolate, one should substitute traditional chocolate with sugar free chocolate. In cases of chocolate cream pie (as an example) one could use sugar free chocolate pudding in the place of regularly made chocolate pudding and substitute its high sugar content with the sugar free chocolate filling instead.
