Gourmet Chocolate
Gourmet chocolate is chocolate made from cocoa beans and processed in a way that creates a richer flavor and greater appeal than other more readily available types of chocolate. Chocolates that are considered gourmet are usually those that are made by gourmet chocolatiers that have established themselves in the chocolate industry for excellence in the creation of above average chocolate in all aspects, including but not limited to manufacture and taste of the gourmet chocolate, types of chocolate (dark, white, milk chocolate) available, the origins of the cocoa beans used and the process by which they are made into chocolate, accompanying ingredients within the recipe of the chocolate, and the art and design of a collection of chocolates to be offered together, or a singular featured piece of chocolate featured in a box of assorted gourmet chocolates. Another consideration in the category of gourmet chocolate is its price. Chocolate that is finely made with non typical ingredients may be sold at a higher cost than more traditional and widely available chocolate.
The makers of gourmet chocolate are located all over the world and pride themselves and their companies with a solid history of quality manufacturing and specialty in their craft. Gourmet chocolates are artfully created with design, shape, flavor, and size taken into consideration. Some well known chocolate manufacturers of gourmet chocolate are Godiva chocolate, Ghirardelli chocolate, and Lindt chocolate.
