Chocolate Martini

Chocolate martinis are fun to drink. Some chocolate martinis contain alcohol and some are virgin chocolate martinis that contain no alcohol. There are various chocolate martini recipes, some of those being for the white chocolate martini, chocolate raspberry martinis, and those provided by chocolate liqueur companies, such as the Godiva chocolate martini recipe, and Godiva white chocolate liqueur martinis. Godiva also makes a chocolate liqueur for its Godiva chocolate martini.

Some popular tips for chocolate martini recipes are putting a slight coating of cocoa powder around the rim of the glass. It must be light to prevent messiness and to add a little zing to the drinking experience. It is also a neat trick to make small and light designs with chocolate syrup inside the martinis glass to add some extra chocolate kick to the martini. Chill the glass after it has been treated with chocolate. A small morsel of chocolate can also be placed in the bottom of the glass if the previously mentioned options for enhancement of chocolate martini are not possible.

Non alcoholic chocolate martinis may use melted chocolate syrup in place of chocolate or white chocolate liqueur. Virgin martinis may also use as a substitute sparkling juices such as grape or apple, or carbonated drinks such as clear sodas. These clear beverages would be used in place of vodka or gin. Creating the martini is quite easy as all the liquid ingredients are put into a shaker with ice, shake vigorously and pour through a strainer into a martini glass.

Alcoholic chocolate martini recipes include chocolate or white chocolate liqueur, vodka or gin, and a garnish of olive, lime or lemon. Godiva chocolate martinis require 1 shot Godiva chocolate liqueur, 1 shot cream de cocoa, .5 shot vodka, 2.5 shots half and half. All ingredients should be poured into a shaker, shaken and then poured directly into a chilled martini glass.
